Bad execution

I was looking for a photo app that would compliment my ipad and also look good displaying photos on my desk. Unfortunately, this app isn't it.

The best thing I can say about this app is that it 'sort of works'. And that's where the compliments end.

Let's start with the first thing that upsets me most when it comes to apps. Misspelled words are NEVER acceptable. The word 'standard' is misspelled. Not good.

The interface is pleasant but not intuitive. A tutorial or help section would be nice. Something as simple as adjusting the background choices is not easily done until you figure out that you need to double tap on the left side of the screen. Exiting the menu was also confusing.

The background choices are limited to three. That's not much considering that this isn't a complicated app. Of the three choices I found the black background to be the worst design of all. It is way too busy. You want your photos to stand out, and the design should not fight with the photos, it should be subtle. The green background is ok, but a bit too saturated and bright. The best overall choice is the red background. More choices would be nice.

Editing the alarm settings took a while to figure out as well. Apparently, you swipe over the individual alarm 'areas' to bring up the settings for each. When you finally do get them to show up, you will find that they do not work at all. In fact they may as well not exist. No matter what time you input it always adjusts to some other time zone or something random...who knows what it's doing. It's nice that they allow you to use any song from your iPod, but who cares since it doesn't work correctly.

Adding photos allows you to have multiple albums, but you are limited to tapping on one photo at a time which is time consuming. Perhaps it's a limitation on Apples part? Either way it's annoying. Be aware that tapping too many photos at once will CRASH the app. Ideally, it would be nice if you could just select an album.

I find it hard to recommend this app. Even priced at .99¢ it seems like there might be better alternatives in the app store.

Needs more settings

This app needs to have the ability to just show the picture without the calendar and also the ability for the pictures to show randomly.

Not that hot

Wow, somewhat disappointed. For 99 cents, what can you say! Doesn't shuffle. You have to add your photos, 1 at a time. Why not add an entire album? Cosmetically, it is ok, but no choice of backgrounds. The examples show different backgrounds, but I don't see a choice. Again, considering the cost, I can't complain too much, but I also was misled by the previous ratings. Maybe I am just missing something! Not very flexible at all.
